The Chicago Elevated 'L' Train has long been a staple of Chicago. This is one of the original Chicago Elevated maps and the lines haven't changed much over the past 100+ years. Not only did the 'L' provide the foundation marker for the nickname everyone uses for downtown, aka the Loop, but it has moved millions of Chicagoans throughout the city as one of the most efficient and effective public transportation systems in the world.
